Thelma And Louise

The Dynamic That Is Ignited Between Two Polarities Can Be Deadly

s a Bible prophecy writer, the subject of Thelma and Louise, the 20 year old hit film about two women who embark on a disastrous weekend getaway that culminates in their violent deaths, may seem to be inappropriate subject matter. However, if you have ears to hear, Thelma and Louise are the Antichrist and the False Prophet. They are also Gog and Magog, Baal and Ashteroth, and a host of other Spiritually derived identities.

In prior written efforts, we've regularly examined the two-fold nature of all creation, and how Spiritual factions form the backdrop for the war between the children of light, and the children of darkness. Both sides have a dual nature, so there is a two fold aspect to those moving in the power of God, and there is a two fold aspect for those who are moving in the power of the Spirit of the age. And then there is the LORD.

It's expedient to provide some labels, as things of the Spirit are invariably difficult to perceive, so we identify one group as theSerpent Spirit, and the other as the Scorpion Spirit. And then there is the Seed of God, whose only begotten Son told us

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions..." (Luke 10:19)

In this epic verse, it is self evident that Christ is describing a form of Spiritual dominion, for even back in Biblical times, men knew how to crush a physical snake, or stomp on a scorpion. The nomenclature of the identities has a 2nd witness in the Revelation, where we find the two end time's factions, there imaged as bizarre creatures with the attributes of many different species, in combat.

One group is described as resembling locusts, which sting like scorpions, whereas the other has the serpent's bite attached to the tails of a huge mass of horses with riders.

"And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have have power....I saw the horses...for their tails were like serpents..." (Revelation 9:3,17,19).

Although the present work is but a brief treatment of the subject, these identities are the subject of multiple books, DVD's, and broadcasts associated with this ministry. Regardless of whether or not the reader recognizes the truth of this identification, these two factions show up over and over again, throughout all of human history. Furthermore, the Scriptures are positively overflowing with this prophetic truth.

Astute observers of human nature have seen examples of how the combination of two people can radically change both of them to such a degree that powerful events begin to ensue. I've personally seen numerous situations where an individual was relatively benign in their social existence, but when they hooked up with an opposite, it was as though someone lit the fuse of a bomb that would invariably explode. Probably most of us have seen this occur in a male-female context, but the power being described is independent of gender.

In nature, we find multitudes of symbiotic relationships, and social scientists might label a situation that has deteriorated into the type of dangerous turf described herein as a malignant co-dependency, or some other lofty sounding term. The fact remains that Scripture informs us we must be inhabited by the righteousness of the Son of God, and that divine righteousness is frequently imaged as the Seed of God. This transition is mandatory, in order for us to be delivered from the power of the serpents and the scorpions. In short, as the New Testament flatly states,

"Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3)

In the language of prophetic metaphor, we routinely find the phenomena of Twice-Speak, and in this case, the "verily, verily" addresses the two parts described, with the mystical third part (the seed of God) found in the "man" who is "born again."

Back to Thelma and Louise, the latter is an aggressive, independent woman who helps to spark a change in her repressed and introverted friend Thelma. This identifies Louise with the Serpent spirit. Confronted with danger, Louise kills a man attacking Thelma, but the activity enables Thelma to come out of her shell, and this results in something being awakened in her, which begins a cycle of events that ultimately spins out of control. In other words, a symbiotic relationship is formed, and the energy that results is destructive.

With the men in their lives providing subtext for the fictional storyline, as well as the law chasing them as they've fled because they have no expectation of any righteous justice in this life, the two women's lives spiral into destruction amidst an escalating crime spree that probably never would have occurred had they not become fast friends.

Very few believers can hear these things, but the prophets have described this Spiritual existence from the very beginning.Zechariah, for instance, coherently states the LORD has decreed that

"...it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein" (Zechariah 13:8).

The two Spiritual factions which are scheduled to be "cut off" are the Serpents and the Scorpions, and if you can hear it, they inhabit the two beasts of Revelation, commonly known as The Antichrist, and The False Prophet.
