The Millennium Storm |
What I'm trying to say is, that which was being called a superstorm, isn't even a brisk wind compared to what is about to occur. The prophets tell us the LORD is scheduled to call out to unrepentant man for only so long, and then He states "My spirit will not always strive with man" (Genesis 6:3). Those same Hebrew prophets, characterizing the forthcoming events in the clearest terms possible, told us that when God's wrath finally does begin, even "the stars of heaven shall fall" (Mark 13:25). The scriptural language is picturesque as the LORD's Spirit seeks to warn us that massive geologic (read weather) changes will be paramount in these times. The prophet Isaiah ominously warned "The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again" (Isaiah 24:20). Although so-called "scholars" tell us such language is but a metaphor, or just symbolic communication, we now know that in the stellar planetary order of our universe, such things do physically occur. We know, for instance, that planets are moved from their orbits, and the result is plunging temperatures, or scalding heat. We know that cosmic bodies occasionally collide, and we know that geologic convulsions on an unimaginable scale are a physical reality. The prophet Amos seems to be describing volcanism when he writes "And the Lord God of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt" (Amos 9:5). Nahum describes an extreme heat, probably through a nova of our sun: "The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence..." (Nahum 1:5). The Christian Apostle Peter tells us that in the very end of days, even the atmosphere of the planet will be ripped away -- something science tells us would extinguish just about all life on the planet: "The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up" (II Peter 3:10). When these things occur, and everything in the physical universe is stripped down to its inner spiritual core, we should urgently ponder what will become of us. The Bible categorically tells us those that are in Jesus Christ will be saved, and reconstituted into immortal bodies where we will live in His presence forever, in abundant joy, and on a higher plane of existence. Conversely, those that have not the life of Jesus Christ within them when the matter is settled once and for all, will be bound, and "cast....into outer darkness [where] there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 22:13). No-one will be scoffing at that time, for all our fates will be sealed. The plain truth is, the present distress has only scratched the surface of the turmoil to come, for the Millennium Storm is about begin. 8/29/05 -- James Lloyd Copyright © 2005, 2008 Christian Media Network See Also Planet X And The Powers Of The Heavens Catastrophism And The Old Testament |
