WHEN MONEY FAILED
|
n the Egyptian debacle, when the famous famine caused a massive imbalance of commerce, and all the money flowed into the government's hands, the fundamental system of exchange failed. As previously stated, once all monetary reserves had flowed into Joseph's hands on behalf of the Pharaoh, the only commodity that actually held any intrinsic value was food. Predictably, there are always those who will say "the glass is half empty," and try to slant the circumstances so they can claim the presence of the Israelites in Egypt was actually the cause of the great misfortune which befell the ancient African state. Such will invariably skew the data to suit a Spiritually corrosive agenda; however, the fact remains that if Joseph had not foreseen the famine, and subsequently stored the huge silos of grain against the starvation that was definitely around the corner, Egypt would not have survived at all. Although so many believers today fail to recognize how the blessings applied to the seed of Abraham (and his descendants) are inherited by Jesus Christ, and only those who are in Him, it should not be understated that a primary example of this principle was indeed fulfilled via Abraham's blood descendant in Egypt, which is definitely Joseph. Remember, the LORD promised Abraham "I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee" (Genesis 12:3,17:7) Because the promise to Abraham was and is still intact, its fulfillment during the Egyptian calamity would have to be applied to Abraham's physical descendant, and Joseph was the son of Israel, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham. When Joseph was elevated and honoured by the king of Egypt, it is irrefutable that Pharaoh "blessed" the descendant of Abraham. Furthermore, when Joseph's entire family sought refuge from the tribulational events associated with the devastating famine which had destroyed their sustenance in the land of Canaan, the text pointedly tells us that Pharaoh welcomed the family of Israel in Egypt. Genesis documents how the Pharaoh said to Joseph "The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell..." (Genesis 47:6) Ironically, most Christians see that Joseph, as a son of Israel who had been rejected by his brethren, functioned as an astonishing prefiguring of the person of Jesus Christ. Readers will remember Joseph was actually betrayed by his brethren, but was allegorically exalted to phenomenal power by the great king -- a position which anticipates the glorious resurrection of Jesus, so that He would be in a position to preserve His brethren. Unfortunately, Jewish Supremacists, largely poisoned by the leaven of the Pharisees found in the Rapture Cult, and other racist groups, routinely ignore how Jesus said His brethren are those who are regenerated in the Spirit, and do the will of the Father in heaven: "Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciple, and said, Behold my mother an my brethren! For whosever shall do the will of the Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother (Matthew 12:48-50) In fact, the New Testament flatly states that Jesus Christ Himself is the prophesied seed of Abraham, and that blessing which was promised to Israel, is now found only in Christ, and those who are in Him. In effect, this makes the Christians the only true Israel of God: "For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children....That is, they which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed" (Romans 9:6,8) Because so many celebrate the amazing truth of how God blesses those who bless Israel, as seen in the preservation of Egypt because the Pharaoh honoured and blessed Joseph and his people, it's extremely common for believers to assume the blessing associated with the seed of Abraham (which continued through Isaac, Israel, Joseph, and the 12 tribes) is still intact on a physical level, when that assumption is a primary characteristic of the Antichrist system. When Joseph is placed in Egypt as a metaphor anticipating the forthcoming work of Christ, the epic account does not occur so that we'll assume all Israelite blood is blessed, it's to show the primacy of the singular figure associated with salvation, and that is Jesus. Furthermore, a careful analysis of the entire account shows the nation of Egypt is a "type" or similitude of the world at large. The family of physical Israel, which was preserved in Egypt, is a foreshadowing of the Spiritual Israel which is exclusively defined in the New Testament as the Christians, and the Egyptians themselves represent the rest of the world's population as what could be called Spiritual Gentiles. The fact that so called believers in Jesus Christ widely teach the exact opposite of this is indicative of the sad fact that most people are mislead as to the basic truth of the Gospel -- and the New Testament plainly teaches that if you don't have the true Gospel, you don't have the true Jesus to save you: "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you unto the grace of Christ unto another gospel....If any man preach anyother gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:6,9) Here is, by the way, the curse that falls on those who curse the true seed of Abraham, which we've already noted is Christ. Thus, those who spin the promise on a racial basis, and take the story of Joseph into a physical primary based on Joseph's race are, in effect, cursing the Spiritual lineage detailed as Christ, who is flatly said to be "the seed of Abraham." In short, the collective church itself is accursed, because they are now embracing physical Israel as the recipient of the promise, and they're doing it at the expense of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, the entire account of Joseph in Egypt, including the famine, the failure of the money, and the barter system which followed, is plainly stated to have occurred as an example for the last day's Christians. Speaking of the Israelites in Egypt, the Apostle Paul wrote: "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come" (I Corinthians 10:11) Thus, when we read about how Joseph engaged in an ongoing cycle of interactions with the people, a process in which the Egyptians and the Israelites were preserved through the sustenance which Joseph controlled, in addition to reading a step by step political account, we should view these sequential steps as examples for us -- the Spiritual Israel that is interacting with Jesus during the crisis which is now enveloping Planet Egypt. The obvious question is, if you don't recognize your true identity as Spiritual Israel, how then can you recognize the true Jesus? Think about it. The true identity of the Remnant believers as Spiritual Israelites is detailed in a short online video clip found at ALIAS ISRAEL. |
