As I write these words, I am astonished at the pace of Biblical Prophetic Fulfillment! It seems there is not a single day that goes by without some extraordinary event that once again confirms that we are in the last times, and are hurtling towards the beginning of the Great Tribulation.

The American presidential election has just concluded, and the sharp turn to the right for the nation has huge prophetic implications. The Republichristians are now firmly in control of the White House, the Congress, and the Senate. Although mainstream Christianity is rejoicing over what is considered to be a great victory for conservatism, the church's true condition, "wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked" (Revelation 3:17), remains hidden from view.

In this election, we have seen an acceleration of the "Christian" entrenchment in the prevailing political order -- a situation that is completely unscriptural. The corporate Christian church is now completely wedded to the political beast seen in Revelation, and the result will be that God will "cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds" (Revelation 2:22). Thus, the prophecy in II Thessalonians concerning the strong delusion that will come upon all the earth is now in full view -- and the "church" is leading the way.

In the midst of this enormous apostasy, what is completely amazing to me is how the Christian establishment continues to speak about the so-called "Revived Roman Empire" they erroneously believe will host the 10 kings of Revelation (and the Antichrist) when it is so obvious that Europe will never fulfill the prophecy of the 10 kings. After all, the EC has 25 nations presently. Meanwhile, the United Nations, a truly global governing body, is rapidly moving towards a 10 Nation Group that will control virtually every aspect of life on the planet. Of course, I'm referring to the UN Security Council - and the permanent membership of that elite cabal.

Very few prophecy teachers even noticed last September when 5 nations practically demanded they be included in an already approved expansion of the present 5-member body - bringing the total permanent membership of the UN Security Council to 10 members! For the record, in September 2004, the French media group known as Agence France Presse, stated

"Germany, Brazil, Japan, India Pledge Joint Backing For UN Bids"

The French story went on to detail how these 4 nation's leaders (Germany, Brazil, Japan, and India) have concluded a pact supporting each other's bid for inclusion in the soon to be reformed UN Security Council. Remember, the permanent members of the Security Council never face re-election - once they're installed, they're empowered to administer the "security" of the world indefinitely - just like "kings."

Amazingly, back in 1997, the present 5 members, America, Russia, England, France, and China, stated they were willing to expand the ranks of the UN Security Council to - you guessed it - ten members! The ink wasn't even dry on the pact between the 4 nations when Egypt stepped up to the UN General Assembly and stated that Egypt is "eminently qualified to assume permanent responsibilities" as the 10^th member of that soon to be expanded council!

At the same time, the UN has been steadily preparing the rest of the world's nations for the day when they will be asked to follow ten nations that will run the world through the reformed UN Security Council. The book of Revelation tells us when the 10 kings come to power, so will the Antichrist (Revelation 17:12). For years, Kofi Annan, the 7^th Secretary-General of the UN, has been telling the world's leaders that the UN has arrived at a "fork in the road" and that radical change is needed if the world body is to fulfill its promise.

The readers of our prophecy newsletter The Apocalypse Chronicles are already aware that Kofi Annan is now embroiled in the largest financial scandal in the history of the UN as we've written about it for some time now. In fact, the United States Justice Department just announced it was investigating Benon Savan, Kofi's hand-picked assistant, for bribery in the massive Iraqi Oil-For-Food scandal. At this point, it looks like Savan received over a million dollars in graft from Saddam Hussein. Now, even the US Congress has launched an investigation to look into the role of Kofi Annan's son Kojo Annan who acted as a "consultant" to a European firm that received a lucrative contract under the huge international scam. Due to the steadily escalating crisis in confidence in the UN, leading political figures and international media are now openly demanding that Kofi Annan be replaced in order to restore confidence in the UN.

The 8^th Head Is The Antichrist?

The reason all this is important is because Kofi Annan is the 7^th leader of the world governing body, and the book of Revelation tells us the 7^th "head" is only to "continue a short space" (Revelation 17:10). To put it another way, it appears the Bible indicates the term of the 7^th head is to be shortened to make way for the 8^th and final leader of the world - the ANTICHRIST.

And Kofi's days are truly numbered. For example, after Annan's recent interview with the BBC, the respected conservative political think-tank known the Heritage Foundation concluded that because of the Oil-For-Food scandal, the "the U.N. faces its greatest ever crisis, with its reputation firmly on the line." Commenting on the rising chorus of those that believe the present leadership of the UN cannot survive the crisis, the Heritage Foundation's Nile Gardner flatly stated that Kofi Annan's denials of the seriousness of the scandal are "breathtaking in their arrogance" - joining others that have concluded that the 7^th Secretary-General should be removed from his post at the United Nations.

Revelation indicates the Beast will come to power during a chaotic period in the midst of a terrifying military conflict. When this 8^th leader comes on the scene, we see that during a time of great confusion, he is an able leader. This man consolidates his power base in a very efficient manner and the Scriptures tell us he, and the government he leads, will be able to move so effectively that the world will proclaim "Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him" (Revelations 13:4).

This remarkable verse implies the world will be suffering under widespread confusion and even hints at a political paralysis prior to the rise of the Antichrist. We're now seeing these conditions. As the nations arm for war amidst the perplexing political, economic, and religious conflicts of our time, the problems are becoming overwhelming, and no-one seems to be able to stop the world's march towards chaos.

The Nations Are Preparing For War

The world is indeed preparing for war on many fronts, and one of the most devastating battles in the history of the world, prophesied in the Bible as the Gog and Magog war, is very close to beginning. Unfortunately, just like the faulty Eurocentric view of the so-called "Revived Roman Empire," the notorious Gog and Magog prophecies of Ezekiel 38 & 39 are also being widely misread by the Christians.

While the vast majority of Christian prophecy teachers tell us that Gog is Russia, Scriptural and archaeological evidence says otherwise. Since Gog is destroyed in that horrifying conflagration which will erupt "in the latter days" (Ezekiel 38:16), and Russia has a continuing, important role in the one world government wherein the book of Revelation describes the Slavic state as "the feet of a bear" (Revelation 13:2), Russia cannot be Gog.

Incredibly, the name Gog actually survives in the nation state of Georgia, and its capital city Tblisi, is the "Tubal" of Ezekiel 38:2! A cohort of Gog that is similarly misidentified is Mechech -- an ancient name that can be traced to the region of the Chechens -- a violent nation on the Northern border of Georgia. Ironically, Russia is presently on the verge of war with GeOrGia -- the exact opposite of what the churches are teaching. Ominously, the former Soviet Union republic of Georgia is NOW a client state of America, whose present leader named George rules from a city named after our first leader named George (Washington), in a place whose nickname is Georgetown.

In a strange role reversal, we find that Russia is at odds with Georgia because Chechens, Arabs, and other ethnic Islamic militants have been attacking Russian positions across the border and then retreating to their base inside Georgia - where they are being protected by Georgian troops in association with the American military! The place they are based is called the Pankisi Gorge, (yet another manifestation of GOrGe) and it's rumored to be the very locale where Osama Bin Ladin is hiding. As crazy as it sounds, the bizarre truth is that secret extremist Islamic militias are being protected by low profile American military assets. Meanwhile, Iran said...

"We Can Hit Anywhere In Israel"

These were the words an Iranian military official spoke to reporters recently as Iran boasted of its newly developed missile capability. Utilizing upgraded Shahab-3 missiles, the Islamic state claims they can now hit any part of Israel, as well as areas of Iraq (where American troops are stationed) and parts of Europe.

Not a month before, intelligence analysts acknowledged that Iran's domestic nuclear program will likely be able to produce weapons grade nuclear material as early as January 2005. Recognizing they will most certainly be the first target of an Islamic bomb, Israel has already stated they may very well launch a pre-emptive all-out military strike against Iran before the Iranian nukes are ready.

It should be obvious the reason this is significant is the one undisputable name that appears in Ezekiel 38 in the Gog-Magog coalition that is engaged in the inauguration of World War III is Persia - which, without a doubt, describes the modern state of Iran.

Meanwhile, tensions between Syria and Israel have been steadily rising for months. This is also prophetically significant because of the frightening prophecy in the book of Isaiah -- which bluntly informs us that in the last days, "Damascus [the capital of Syria] is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap" (Isaiah 17:1). To put it another way, the Syrian capital, a city of millions, is scheduled to be completely destroyed at some point in the near future.

While many see America as the defender of Israel against a Russian equipped Islamic coalition of nations, that hidden base of American backed Moslem militants in Georgia is disturbing, to say the least. Not only that, but as I predicted several years ago, as they recognize their common opponent in the Islamic Jihad, Russia and Israel are significantly warming up to each other - not exactly what one would expect if Russia is Gog.

For example, after the recent Moslem terrorist attack that killed 330 men, women, and children in a Russian school, Moscow arranged to have Israeli anti-terrorist commandos come to Russia to train Russian police in defensive tactics to thwart such attacks in the future! Such security arrangements don't usually occur between powers that are militarily unfriendly towards one another.

In another revealing news item that was practically buried by the controlled American media, the Islamic Chechen leader blamed for the Russian school massacre denied responsibility, decried the carnage, and claimed the real culprits were dispatched by a secretive terror cell that was unknown to him. A story from the Caucasus Times, published online by the Moscow News, declared...

"Chechen Separatists Say 'Third Force' Behind Terrorist Attacks"

Although few have taken the claim seriously, there is a distinct possibility this Islamic leader was telling the truth, when he indicated that a shadowy terrorist group, secretly financed by the hidden faction that is plotting global dominion, is actually behind many of the seemingly daily terrorist attacks in the Caucasus mountain region that comprises Georgia, Chechnya, and several other Moslem dominated Trans-Caucasian provinces such as Ingushetia and Dagestan.

Indeed, for several years now, clues have occasionally surfaced that there is a secretive military force being assembled in the Caucasus mountain country of Georgia in the lawless area known as the Pankisi Gorge. This locale is in close proximity to many Chechen military strongholds that are presently engaged in fierce fighting with the Russians.

As a further evidence of this assertion, I submit the following: Two years ago, another Moslem terrorist group attacked and killed 14 political officials in Chechnya that were loyal to Russia. The Russian military was rushed to the scene and the Islamic terrorists fled South into Georgia - apparently seeking to make their way to the Pankisi Gorge near the border of Georgia and Chechnya. The Islamic militias was detained by the Georgian army -- who are trained and backed by American military officers -- yet the Georgians refused to turn the killers over to the Russians who were blocked at the border. Since America is Georgia's financial and military benefactor, and is ostensibly engaged in a desperate battle against Islamic induced terrorism, this is very strange behaviour indeed.

A similar case occurred with Palestinian Islamic militants that killed several Israelis and then fled North into Lebanon where they were protected by UN deployed American troops who stopped the Israelis from seizing them! In fact, Russian President Vladimir Putin has sought to introduce legislation through the United Nations that would compel countries like the US to designate various militarized Islamic groups as terrorists and then extradite them - and the American government is actually opposing this move! To put it another way, in certain key circumstances, Washington is definitely protecting some Islamic terrorist factions from Russian (and even Israeli) eradication.

Incidentally, this perspective makes the passage in Ezekiel all the more interesting in that the ancient prophet of Israel stated that Gog would not only assemble a great military force that would "come up from the north parts" (Ezekiel 39:2), but this mysterious Gog was also to "be thou a guard unto them" (Ezekiel 38:7).

The Scriptures tell us that when these events occur, the majority of "believers" will be part of a great "falling away" and will be the subject of a "strong delusion" in that they will fail to recognize the true nature of what is occurring. I believe this precisely describes the American Christian church today as they consistently refuse to hear the Word of the Lord that is spoken to them. Although they believe themselves to be moving in the true Spirit of God, the truth is American evangelical Christians are presently in terrible darkness, and they're sinking deeper into the deception that Washington can produce a political solution to the world's desperate situation.

"But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief " (I Thessalonians 5:4). The "perilous times" of the last days are upon us, "but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits" (Daniel 11:32). We seek to do just that and ask you to pray for us even as we pray for you.
