n late 2008.writing in the Apocalypse Chronicles publication, I published a prophetic work which asserted US President Barack Obama’s association with the King Of The North, who is found in Daniel 11. Penned shortly before President Obama’s inauguration, the writing was later adapted into the book entitled Barack Obama In Bible Prophecy.

Readers familiar with the ongoing prophetic research at Christian Media are aware that we find the Scriptures point us towards a failed assassination attempt on Daniel’s King of the North – thus, we believe the prophecies of Daniel are pointing us towards a pivotal event in the near future.

In the book of Zechariah, we encounter another prophesied figure known as the Idol Shepherd, and this prediction pointedly indicates a critical injury will be inflicted upon this “shepherd.” The present work seeks to bridge the gap between the two prophetic streams of identification. In short, as I’m already convinced American president Barack Obama is the contemporary fulfillment of the King of the North, I now see Zechariah’s vision as a subset of Daniel’s sweeping chronological forecast.

A Foolish Shepherd

Although Zechariah’s 11^th chapter is massive in terms of the scope of his perspective, one of the few precise characteristics that may be applied to the Idol Shepherd is the term foolish. It goes without saying a shepherd is in a leadership role, so the description would have to extend to the policies of this leader. To state it more precisely, the Bible clearly tells us this individual is foolish:

“And the Lord said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd…For, lo, I will raise up a [foolish] shepherd in the land….” – Zechariah 11:15,16

Actually, the Hebrew word which underlies “foolish” in this verse is rendered “wicked” in Job 5:3, so the idea of foolhardiness is closely akin to evil. Indeed, in the later verse describing the same individual as an “Idol Shepherd,” the word used there is used dozens of times in Scripture, and literally means worthless, wicked, or even vain. Thus, the “Idol Shepherd” of Zechariah 11:17, or the “foolish shepherd” used in verse 15, describes a man who is so completely devoid of understanding that he could accurately be characterized as a narcissistic fool.

The actions of this shepherd can also help us to identify him. Intriguingly, although some of these enigmatic verses are couched in agricultural terms, the text actually points towards an individual who consumes and destroys the most successful and prosperous members of his “flock,” but does not truly care about those in need. Zechariah tells us this shepherd

“…shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall [he] seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.” – Zechariah 11:16

This is the classic definition of a collectivist tyrant, for history is littered with examples of Socialist regimes that destroyed every aspect of productivity within their grasp (the “fat”), even as they promised to redistribute the wealth to those who are infirm (the one that “standeth still”) and those who are in desperate need; i.e. “broken.”

In reality, such corrupt individuals and political parties never really lift up the impoverished members of society, but instead seize more and more power for themselves. In practice, Communists have proven themselves to be foolish and short-sighted – precisely the characteristics described in Zechariah.

His Right Side Is Damaged

In spite of the fact that many well meaning believers put forth the untenable statement that all Scripture is literal (how many 7 headed beasts have you seen rise up from the sea?), it is obvious the Word of God is rich and textured with prophetic metaphor. The very fact that the text actually specifies this Idol Shepherd is completely blind in his right eye, indicates he sees things from the leftist perspective.

With mainstream media still fawning over Obama’s every move, few have noticed he is left-handed. Indeed, President Obama has been photographed taking notes with his left hand, and a much publicized photo has him saluting the American flag with his left arm. Furthermore, dozens of verses utilize the imagery of the arm as symbolic of power and strength. For instance, Isaiah tells us

“….the LORD God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him…..” -– Isaiah 40:10

In fact, in the very same chapter of Daniel concerning the previously mentioned King of the North, we see a passage where the daughter of the King of the South tries diplomacy with the Northern King, but is unable to sustain political power – an authority that is referenced as the strength of the arm:

“….for the king’s daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm….” – Daniel 11:6

Thus, the Idol Shepherd is not only foolish, but his policies will inevitably cripple his power, as the allegorized understanding of the “arm” points us to a progressive deterioration of productivity. Simultaneously, because the metaphor of the arm is also commonly seen in military terms, this passage is also telling us the Idol Shepherd will see a steady depletion of military power – the “arm” which is to shrivel away:

“…his arm shall be clean dried up….” -- Zechariah 11:17

The idea this foolish shepherd presides over a military machine that is in decline receives additional support when the Scripture tells us it is a “sword” that is brought against this “arm,” and this assault causes his arm to become completely useless:

“The sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.” – Zechariah 11:17

The question is not whether or not this prophecy will unfold in a figurative sense as I’ve described above, the question is whether or not there will also be a literal layer of fulfillment. In the case of Barack Obama fulfilling the role of the Idol Shepherd in this timeline, every signal imaginable suggests we will see a literal event as well.

Many Manifestations Of The Beast

In previous work, I’ve demonstrated the pattern of multi-layered, multi-dimensional fulfillments of Scriptural texts, which have recurred throughout history. For instance, in the book The Armageddon Script, I show how the serial wars between the North and South may be identified with the Seleucid-Ptolemaic wars of 150 BC, as well as the various European North-South wars in the middle ages, the American Civil War, and the final series of conflicts between the Industrialized/Developed Northern nations (sometimes called the G8), and the resource rich (think OPEC), developing nations of the Islamic South.

In the prophetic panorama imaged as the Beast with 7 Heads in Revelation, we learn this multi-generational, multi-dimensional Beast has the cryptic codename of Leviathan, and each of his “heads” receives a deadly wound:

“Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.” – Psalm 74:13,14

The parting of the Red Sea, and the “people inhabiting the wilderness” tie this action to the Exodus cycle, which associates the first “head” to be broken with the Pharaoh. Most Prophecy students know that Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome all fall in Scripture, and each is a symbolic “head” of Leviathan. Very few believers are aware this list has contemporary parallels in Rome, Spain, England, Russia, Germany, and America, but the truth may be known to those who seek it.

This ongoing process of multiple deadly wounds inflicted on each successive kingdom is directly related to the divinely engineered, millennia long mission of the seed of the woman. This was revealed by the LORD when He told the Serpent the seed of the woman would crush the head of the seed of the Serpent:

“And I will put enmity between….thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” – Genesis 3:15

We know that all the ancient kingdoms that interacted with Israel received a deadly wound, and a key leader of each met a violent end – the “sword” that inflicts the deadly “head wound.” In the 2^nd timeline (the New Covenant era), there are precise parallels to each and every one of the kingdoms seen in the Old Testament, and we have previously detailed this astonishing truth in Books, Videos, Newspapers, and Broadcasting for well over a decade. He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

The fact is, because America is the final prophesied kingdom to fall (as opposed to the “revived Roman Empire” fraud put forth by the Rapture Cult for the last century), we stand on the threshold of profoundly significant prophetic events.

Thus, prophecy shows America will receive a deadly wound as the final kingdom of this world order. This fall is not limited to a military devastation, but also encompasses the financial destruction of our system which is already well underway. Indeed, because their money is so dear to the Babylonian whorish “Christians” of our day, large numbers of believers have begun to suspect that America is to fall.

To conclude, as the highly visible Commander in Chief of all the so-called “free world,” Barack Obama is the head of the North American nation called the USA – as well as the leader of NATO (the North Atlantic Treaty Organization), and the military structure known as the Northern Command. He will persecute the Saints as described in Daniel – and this will sharply accelerate after a failed attack described in the prophets. This is part of “The Beast That Was” cycle, when his deadly wound is healed.
