Man's Law Or God's Law?

Saturday, December 15th, was the 210th anniversary of the adoption of the United States Bill of Rights. Bill of Rights Day is no longer listed on calendars, no longer mentioned in the media, and not celebrated by Americans. This is to be expected, since the "God-given" and "unalienable" rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights have been forgotten.

The U.S. Constitution was adopted in 1789; it is man's law establishing a corporate government. It originally transferred only 17 very limited powers to the new government. The Bill of Rights was adopted two years later, in 1791, to further clarify government's limitation. It is a declaration of spiritual truth, of God-given "unalienable" rights. Yet in the past 210 years the federal government has escaped its intended control and limitations and used powers granted to it in the Constitution to replace the God-given rights once protected by the Bill of Rights.

America was established on profoundly Christian principles by people that intended to live their lives serving the God of the Bible, with government serving and protecting "We The People." After 210 years, the system is upside down, with government now in the position of god with the God-given rights in the control of that government. In 1775, American churches directed members to take up arms against the British government that was violating God-given rights.

Today America's "Christian" churches seek government licenses and TAX EXEMPTION, and accordingly are forced to submit to government's increasing tyranny. As a result of the transition that has taken place, it has become clear that America's churches and mainstream Christians now serve Mammon, and not God.

Laws calling politically incorrect speech "hate speech" have replaced American's 1st Amendment right to "freedom of speech". For example, a Christian today is in jeopardy for calling homosexuality a deviant behavior, and the churches have largely gone silent on the matter. The "free exercise" of religion is now subject to government approval and interpretation. It is obvious that America's Christian churches are lining up for submission to the final one-world system of government and religion - precisely as predicted in the Holy Scriptures.

What has occurred to America's God-given rights and cherished Bill of Rights over the last 210 years follows the historical model of governments - becoming a "beast," and always growing in power and force at the expense of the people and their liberty. At the same time, the whole mechanism is progressively funded by forced taxation.

America's founding fathers knew that this historical model would repeat in America despite an enumerated Bill of Rights. Benjamin Franklin said Americans would lose their liberty "when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government...." Samuel Adams predicted of Americans, "once they lose their virtue they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader."

President George Washington even warned Americans in his farewell address that, "cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people...." Many "born-again" Christians voted for Bill Clinton, and it appears that even Christians have become so corrupt and without virtue that they are willing to elect cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled leaders. The prosperity promised by these unprincipled modern leaders is the carrot that American "Christians" have continued to follow.

The most powerful government the world has ever witnessed has trashed its own people's Bill of Rights. Our massive beast government is not about to be limited by some forgotten declaration of God-given rights adopted by men that died long ago. At this dark point in history, it appears that along with the passing of America's great Christian founding fathers, the spirit of limited government and God-given rights died also.
